Guy fawkes' crime and bonfire night

Guy Fawkes, also known as Guido,was an Elizabethan nobleman, adventurer, and politician who became involved in the infamous Gunpowder Plot. The Gunpowder Plot was devised in May 1604.The target was to assassinate the King, and as many members of parliament as possible, by blowing up the Houses of Parliament on November 5th, the day when the
King would perform the official opening ceremony. Initially, a tunnel was planned but this was soon abandoned when it became possible to rent premises adjacent to the House...Over time, quantities of gunpowder were amassed underground and Guy Fawkes had the task of setting off the explosion.Nowadays on november 5th the children build pupputs named " guys "and then they go from house to house vending the puppets ant then they burn the puppets....

Talent Show✌❤

Talent show is an event where participants perform talent of actor,singing,dancing,street artists,acrobatics, playing an instrument sometimes for a reward trophy o prize.In English there are very reality show such as American Idol, Pop Idol,The X factor,Britain's Got Talent and American's Got Talent.
The UK is the European country with the most important from the point of view of talent, in fact many of these programs were born in Britain and then spread to the rest of the world.

-Pop Idol
In 2001, record producer and television talent show Simon Fuller created Pop Idol .This program is dedicated to young aspiring singers .Will young is singer and actor became famous thanks to winning the program Pop Idol.

In 2004 came the talent show The X Factor,created and produced by Simon Cowell.The program was a great success in the UK and is after exported to other countries including Italy.


-Britain's Got Talent
It's a British talent show based on competition which started in 2007.Performers from all over the UK participate, including singers, dancers, comedians and variety actors compete against each other for audience support, for the possibility of winning £100,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of members of the Royal Family including the Queen.

George Clooney.

George Clooney is an American actor,film director,producer, and screenwriter. He is a man who needs no introduction. In addition to being considered “one of the world’s sexiest men,” he is also an actor who invariably chooses interesting movies.For his outstanding work as an actor, he has received two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award. Clooney is also noted for his social activism and has served as one of the United Nations Messenger of Peace since January 31, 2008.

Saint George's Day.

St George's Day is celebrated in England on 23 April, in honour of St George, the patron saint of England.

St. George is the patron saint of England. His symbol, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England, and part of the British flag. St George was a brave Roman soldier who protested against the Romans' torture of Christians and died for his beliefs.
One of the best-known stories about Saint George is his fight with a dragon. Despite this, St George is known throughout the world as the dragon-slaying patron saint of England.

Black History Month.

The black history month is a celebration which takes place in United states,Canada and the United Kingdom for celebrate the importance of people and of events in the history of Diaspora Africana. Is celebrated in the month of may in Canada and United States and October in UK. The Black history month created in 1926 when the historian CARTER G. WOODSON announced that second week of  February would have been called ''black history month''. This week was chosen because it coincided with the birthday of ABRAHAM LINCOLN and FREDERICK DOUGLASS.

MIRIAM MAKEBA Miriam Makeba also known as Mama Africa, is a symbol of South Africa. She was born in Johannesburg in 1932. In the 1950s she began singing professionally and campaigned against Apartheid.On 9th November 2008 she performed at a benefit concert to support the Italian writer Roberto Saviano in his stand against the Camorra. The concert was held in Catsel Volturno,near Caserta.After singing her hit song Pata Pata she had a heart attack and died the following day.

On 14th February people send cards, called ''valentines', to their partners,sweethearts, and to friend or relatives they love. Valentines are often decorated with red hearts or cupids and have a poem written on them. Some just say ''I love you'' or ''be my Valentine!''.
Valentine's Day dates back to a pagan Roman Festival, called ''Lupercalia''. In the Middle Ages it was related to Christianity and in particular to a third-century priest in Rome who helped young couples to get married despite the persecutions of the Christians.He died on 14th February.

Pancake-day❤

Many Christian churches in the United Kingdom observe Shrove Tuesday as the last day before the fast for the Lent period. It is also known as Pancake Tuesday or Pancake Day.Shrove Tuesday in the United Kingdom is commonly know as Pancake Tuesday.It is a time for people to eat pancakes or participate in pancake races.Pancakes in the United  Kingdom have some variations.People who take part in the pancake races carry thin pancakes  in frying pans and must race to the finish,flipping pancakes as they go.The winner is the first to the finish line with a pancake that is not burnt.
