❤ Valentine's Day❤

On 14th February people send cards, called ''valentines', to their partners, sweethearts, and to friend or relatives they love. Valentines are often decorated with red hearts or cupids and have a poem written on them. Some just say ''I love you'' or ''be my Valentine!''.
Valentine's Day dates back to a pagan Roman Festival, called ''Lupercalia''. In the Middle Ages it was related to Christianity and in particular to a third-century priest in Rome who helped young couples to get married despite the persecutions of the Christians. He died on 14th February.
